FISCAL CUTOFF MARCH 1: FIGHT FOR INTEREST ARBITRATION!

Fiscal cutoff is this Friday, March 1 and House Appropriations Committee Chair Ross Hunter has still not scheduled our interest arbitration bill (HB1490) for a hearing.  If the bill does not get a hearing by Friday and get passed out of Hunter’s committee, the bill dies!

TAKE ACTION NOW!

  1. CONTACT COMMITTEE CHAIR ROSS HUNTER AT 360-786-7936 and ask him why he has not scheduled a hearing for our interest arbitration bill (HB1490).
  2. CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES ON THE HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE: Tell your representatives on the House Appropriations Committee to give HB1490 a hearing and to pass the bill out of committee before fiscal cutoff on Friday.

Interest arbitration will give WA State correctional employees the voice they need in determining their working conditions, more leverage at the bargaining table, and respect!

Don’t let interest arbitration die! Take action now!
