Invest In Those Who Keep Our Communities Safe

Washington State corrections employees put their lives on the line to protect the public.

Many corrections employees are military veterans who have served our country and are continuing that public service back home. They know how important it is to invest in corrections so that our state’s prisons are safe and our communities are strong.

I urge the Washington Legislature to fully fund the corrections contract and invest in the men and women who keep our communities safe.

Very dangerous job without much appreciation from the public. These men & women do a job only certain people their family understand. Give them a raise

When the DOC Secretary argues against staff salary increases, insists on a no fail academy, while at the same time creating more costly offender programs, staff morale suffers.

Senators: Please agree to give us the money we deserve. We work in dangerous conditions every time we go to work. Our lives are on the line to take care of convicted felons. Thanks for your consideration for this important positive vote.

Politicians keep getting undeserved wages lets put wages where they belong. Employees with dangerous jobs. Corrections officers, state, county and city police. And of course our military.

I want to know why state workers can not get a raise but the elected officials get one every year. It’s hard to raise a family on what we get paid. I think it’s time to get some of you out of office and get new faces in Olympia.
